Instructions to apply the Service Pack / Hotfix in Windows
The following instructions is to upgrade ServiceDesk Plus.
Step 1: Stop ManageEngine ServiceDesk service.
Step 2: Take a backup of the existing build for security reasons.
From command prompt, move to [ServiceDesk Plus-Home]\bin directory and execute
backUpData.bat.
This will start the backup.
cmd>[ServiceDesk Plus Home]\bincmd>backUpData.batwhere, ServiceDesk Plus Home -> C:\ManageEngine\ServiceDesk
NOTE: Taking a backup is essential to revert to the existing build without any loss
of data if the upgrade fails due to unexpected reasons. The backup is stored under
Backup folder in ServiceDesk Plus Home directory.
Step 3: Download the hot fix or ppm file from the link provided below,
https://www.manageengine.com/products/service-desk/service-packs.htmlStep 4: Go to [ServiceDesk Plus Home]\bin and execute the file
UpdateManager.bat.
A Java UI pops up where you can browse for the location of the hot fix and click
install to start the installation process.

How can I find the Build Number of ServiceDesk Plus?
- In the ServiceDesk Plus web client, click the "About"
link on top right of the page.
- You should see the Build number mentioned on the top right
of the page.
- Check the following image guide to locate the build number.
