Fault management testing is required to validate the effective
event handling of the manager application. This is achieved through
Trap simulation in SNMP devices. The Network Designer tool and the
SNMP Agent Simulator offers an intuitive trap and inform configuration
wizard, to configure and generate any number of traps/informs from
a device, under different scenarios. This helps demonstrating and
testing an application's handling of trap traffic under different
conditions.
Further, the toolkit offers the Trap Stormer, an exclusive tool
to storm SNMPv1/v2c traps at burst and normal modes. Trap storms
can be generated to validate the effective event handling of the
manager application.
