Scheduled reportsHave the NetFlow Analyzer reports delivered where and when you want it! Automation and customization are the words that every network administrator yearns to hear in the same sentence. As automation inherently brings standardization and customization inherently negates automation, the combination of both is in high demand. And that's exactly what ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer provides you with. With businesses getting more and more dependent on their corporate networks, you just can't afford to have any network incidents remain unresolved. You need a report generation and delivery system that is automated. Which will deliver the report at the place you want and the time you want it on. NetFlow Analyzer offers you a whole new "reports" experience. It offers the flexibility to schedule the Network traffic reports. The scheduled reports generated can be distributed (in PDF or Zip file format) to various users via Email. Scenario:You, as the network administrator, want to keep a tab on the bandwidth utilization of particular departments. You have verbally conveyed to everyone that due to the lower IT budget this year, the bandwidth is scarce. You have asked the finance department not to access websites as their work does not need it. You have taken all the necessary precautions by applying ACL filters to make sure http traffic request is denied for a group of IP addresses. But you need to be sure and your higher management wants reports every week. Solution:ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer is more than just a bandwidth monitoring tool. It’s a tool that gives you an in-depth analysis and automatically generates and delivers the report at your mailbox. It allows you to schedule the reports to be generated periodically. You can select the criteria for the reports as per your requirement. In the above proposed scenario, the objectives are:
Create an IP group with all the IP addresses used by the finance department. And in the schedule reports page you can select the IP group as the source and include the particular IP group that you have created. You work is completed by configuring the schedule details, namely, time of report generation and the day on which it is to be delivered to the intended people, periodically. Once the report is scheduled, you are free! You don’t have to bother with checking the IP groups every day. You will receive reports and you can go through them when you have time, to check if the HTTP traffic usage is undesirably high. If that is the case, you can even know which IP addresses used it. Another proof that bandwidth monitoring is just the tip of the ice berg – ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer! Apart from periodic scheduling, you can also schedule it one time. You can create any number of report schedules. You can keep the report schedules dormant by disabling them and activate by enabling them, as and when required. You can select the source as Interface(s) or IP Groups(s). You can schedule two types of reports. It can be Consolidated or Custom reports. In Custom reports, you can choose criteria based on source, destination, & application. You can schedule the reports with the periodicity of daily, weekly, and monthly. You have the option to exclude the weekends. You can choose a time of report generation, when there is less or no activity and traffic is minimal (for example: wee hours of the day). This kind of report scheduling will also help to peruse the previous day/week/month report next day in the morning. You can also select the period of time for the report. For example: The report scheduled for Daily generation can be for Previous Day or Last 24 Hours. Bandwidth monitoring is just the tip of the ice berg – ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer!
