The Multi-Protocol agent tools are used to build agents
that support multiple protocols such as SNMP, TL1, RMI, CORBA,
and HTTP. The Agent Toolkit also provides testing tools to
access the management information of the application for which
the agent is generated. The multi-protocol agent tools enlighten
the user with various menus, toolbar etc. The different development
and test tools offered by the Agent Toolkit are:
MIB Editor Editor tool used to create/ edit MIB files
JMX Compiler
Multi-Protocol agent developer tool that generates stub files
for building Multi-Protocol agent after reading MIB files
MIB Browser
SNMP Manager that is used to view and operate on data available
through an SNMP agent on a managed device
MBean Browser
Management tool used for testing multi-protocol agent using
the protocols such as RMI, CORBA, and HTTP
TL1 Browser
TL1 Management console that allows the user to view and operate
on data available through a TL1 agent on a managed device.
