While working with configurations of devices, network administrators face the need for comparing any two versions of configurations. In multi-vendor environment, administrators often wish to compare the configurations of devices from two vendors for reference purpose. Network Configuration Manager satisfies this need by providing the option to compare any two configuration versions of same device or different devices.
The configuration difference is depicted side-by-side showing the changed lines in blue, added lines in green and deleted lines in red. Configurations are versioned and stored in the database and the Network Configuration Manager GUI provides option to select and view any particular configuration version. From the historical information, administrators can choose any to configuration versions and compare.
