AdventNet To Offer Free Version Of SNMP API To Users Worldwide
Pleasanton, California, August 19, 2004
AdventNet today announced the availability of a free version
of its industry-leading SNMP API. The free Edition, without
technical support is available to non-commercial users whose
support needs are minimal. If development or deployment support
is required, the cost is based on the number of developers
or the volume of deployment needed. With this initiative,
AdventNet has made its SNMP API technology more economical
for all users.
The SNMP API offers a comprehensive development tool kit
for SNMP-based network management applications. The stack
consists of a set of powerful Java SNMP libraries to build
real-time application for monitoring and tracking network
elements, which are reliable, scalable, and OS independent.
Developers can quickly leverage the SNMP package to build
standalone, Web-based, and distributed (EJB, CORBA, RMI) SNMP-based
network management applications.
"AdventNet already has a strong relationship within
the developer community who utilize our standards-based technology
to create enhanced management solutions," said, Rajkumar,
Product Manager at AdventNet. "We hope this free edition
of the SNMP API further strengthens the value we provide to
new users evaluating our products."
