Wake on LAN tool remotely 'wakes-up' a machine (boots-up a machine) that is present in the network but not alive. For this tool to work, the machine should be configured to accept the Wake-on-LAN remote command. The Wake on LAN tool supports both manual and scheduled waking up of systems. It can be used to boot systems accross VLANs.
The Wake on LAN tool enables waking up machines on demand from remote. The tool can be used to wake-up either a single machine or multiple machines simultaneously. The administrator has an option to send the Wake on LAN packets to the specific system or broadcast the WOL packets in the whole subnets. The status and the last wake on time is updated the database.
The Wake on LAN tool can be scheduled to run at a specified interval. The administrators can add all the systems to be woken-up and schedule the tool to run at a specified interval - Daily, Monthly, or Yearly. The Wake on LAN tool, at the specified time, sends the Wake on LAN packets to the systems to boot them up.
The Wake on LAN tool allows administrators to create multiple groups containing different computers. These groups can be scheduled to run at different times. There is no restriction to the number of groups that can be created. The status of individual tasks will be provided as a summary.
